List of Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm CPUs Compatible with Windows 11
We have added separate categories to list Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm CPUs that will support Windows 11. Based on your PC’s specifications, go through the respective section using the table of contents given below to check Windows 11’s CPU requirements:
Intel CPUs Compatible with Windows 11
Notably, Microsoft has not listed 7th-Generation Intel Core processors and lower in the official list of CPUs that support Windows 11. That means 8th-Gen Intel Core CPUs (released in 2018) or above will get the Windows 11 update. However, it is likely that the company will relax the CPU requirements ahead of the release. For what it’s worth, here is a list of Intel CPUs that will officially support Windows 11:
AMD CPUs Compatible with Windows 11
Windows 11 is compatible with AMD processors, including Athlon, EPYC, and the Ryzen series. The next-gen Windows update will be available for Ryzen CPUs that are built on Zen+ architecture or above. That means all AMD processors launched after 2018 will receive the Windows 11 update. So if you are in Team Red, here are the AMD processors that support Windows 11:
Qualcomm CPUs Compatible with Windows 11
And if you are using a Windows ARM PC with a Snapdragon chip under the hood, here are the Qualcomm chipsets that will officially get Windows 11:
Snapdragon 850 Snapdragon 7c Snapdragon 8c Snapdragon 8cx Snapdragon 8cx (Gen2) Microsoft SQ1 Microsoft SQ2
Windows 11 Processor Requirements
It will be interesting to see if Microsoft offers clarity on the future of older CPUs that meet the official system requirements but are not listed here. Until then, you can go through the Windows 11 features list, check when your PC will get Windows 11, and note the features missing on Windows 11.
